Amazon Echo to be available in retail stores across the US

Amazon has announced that it will be selling the Amazon Echo across retail outlets in the US. The Echo will be available in The Home Depot, Staples, Sears, Brookstone, RadioShack, Fred Meyer, P.C. Richard & Son, and more in time for the holiday season. The Echo is a voice operated search box, which gives you search results simply by asking the question, plays music from a variety of services, tell you the news, weather, traffic information, search on Yelp, access your Google Calendar, and a lot more. It's like having Siri in an always on Bluetooth speaker that you can keep around your house. It's strange to see an Amazon product, from the company with the largest online store in the world, being sold offline. Then again, considering the lukewarm response to the product, it makes sense to branch out to other outlets, and for a niche product like Echo, it would be better if people saw and experience it first hand if they were to buy...
