that started super strong and (much like Fast and the Furious) seems to have only gotten more over the top as the sequels continue.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Tides of War saw another massive update this week, this time around adding Captain Armando Salazar who first appeared as the primary bad guy in the Tides of War film before he met his untimely demise (Is that spoilers? The movies came out so long ago!) in Dead Men Tell No Tales. This legendary pirate also comes with his ship, the Silent Mary. In the game, he appears as a phantom called Salazar’s Shade who, like any primary movie bad guy, has powerful skills and a hunger for vengeance. Specifically, Salazar will command the Silent Mary as a Unique Tactician in your Tides of War pirate battles.

Another neat feature in the new update is the addition of alliance battles, which allow in-game alliances (think clans, guilds, or teams in other games if you’ve never played this one) to battle against each other. Participating in these battles rewards Honor Points which are a special currency that can be spent in the in-game market for all sorts of goodies that will help you through the game.

Additionally, advances players will be able to upgrade their Pirate Halls and Weapon Workshops to S Level 3 (the new highest level). There are some quality of life improvements that have been made to the Monster Cage that let players view details of their monsters before they get released back to sea, instead of just shipping them back out blindly. Oh, and there’s a new tier 3 Tactician unit named Malik Bolston that’s been added.

So, if you haven’t played in a while, now is a great time to revisit Pirates of the Caribbean: Tides of War both to enjoy this new content and to participate in the December Attendance Event. If you log in seven days in the month of December, you’ll get a unique tactician invitation along with other end of the year goodies that will be doles out to everyone who plays.
