CCP Games has announced plans to release "Gunjack Next", the codename for the sequel to their VR space shooter Gunjack. It will be released as an exclusive to Google's later this fall.
The original Gunjack put the player in the role of a gun turret operator in space, onboard a mining ship that had to be defended from pirates and other threats. CCP is not offering any gameplay details yet on the sequel, but :
CCP Games' Shanghai studio, the creators of Gunjack, is working closely with Google's team to ensure that "Gunjack Next" leverages all of the power and features available. Like Gunjack, which was praised for its breakthrough graphics when it launched on Gear VR, the development team expects "Gunjack Next" to again raise the bar for mobile VR gaming.
