Google has announced that now support Dolby Digital Plus surround sound on and Roku. That's right, movies that you rent or purchase from Play Movies will now output a better sound, and allow you to take full advantage of your home theater system.

You don't need to do anything different to enable the support. Simply head to Play Movies, take your pick from the huge selection, and then play it on your Android TV or Roku hardware.
