Two great games went on sale this morning which are both responsible for sucking up so much of my time it's hard to really estimate. If you've been playing Butterscotch Shenanigans' amazing Crashlands [] and found yourself saying, "You know, this game isn't brutally difficult enough, I highly recommend Don't Starve: Pocket Edition []. It's a couple bucks cheaper now, and while the game plays way better on an iPad than it does an iPhone, it's still something you shouldn't miss. We absolutely too. I really dig how the game has such distinct day and night cycles, and how early on you genuinely fear the night, but as you begin to build up your infrastructure, you get more and more confident with surviving in the darkness- As opposed to your first night, where you don't leave the glow of your meager camp fire.
If you're in the mood for a little something less hardcore, give Evoland [] a look. It's an RPG that has a really cool gimmick behind it in that as you progress throgh the game, you're also progressing through the advancement of RPG game technology. You start out in a super-simple supremely basic 2D world, and by the time the game is finished you'll be in a beautiful three dimensional universe. Evoland is a game that genuinely seems to love the RPG genre, and that is painfully obvious as you play it. We also .
If you're only going to get one... I'm not sure which I'd grab. Definitely watch both trailers and snag whichever your gut tells you it likes more. Both are great game experiences that feature both depth and complexity that you don't see very often in mobile games anymore. So, you can't really go wrong with either one or both.
