Samsung’s next Fan Edition smartphone appears to be closing in on its market debut, even though you probably shouldn’t make plans for an imminent release. The battery that Samsung will use for the upcoming was recently certified by Safety Korea. The certificate reveals the manufacturer and one key design detail. And, of course, it technically brings the phone closer to launch.
The Galaxy S23 FE battery is and carries model number EB-BS711ABY, corresponding with the phone’s expected model number: SM-S711. The Safety Korea application (via ) includes the photo you see below, which, unfortunately, is too blurry to determine the battery’s capacity or charging capabilities.
Nevertheless, the photo above does confirm that the Galaxy S23 FE battery design adheres to Samsung’s new policy and will have a pull tab (the blue bit) and/or pouch. This component will make the unit easier to replace, which, in turn, should result in the Galaxy S23 FE getting a higher repairability score from independent repair shops and reviewers.
According to previous rumors, the Galaxy S23 FE battery may have a capacity of 4,500mAh. Charging speeds might top out at 25W, so all in all, the upcoming Fan Edition model might have the same battery specifications as the S21 FE.
