. It comes in handy when conversing with a person who doesn't speak your language. That feature is now being promoted in prominent stores in South Korea to help foreign shoppers.

Galaxy S24's Interpreter Mode is helping foreign shoppers in South Korean stores​


Samsung has started promoting the

and its Interpreter Mode feature at the Lotte Department Store and Lotte Outlet shopping complexes in South Korea. The company will showcase the Galaxy AI-powered Interpreter Mode feature from June 11 to July 10. Foreign nationals who visit these stores can converse with store workers via the Interpreter Mode on the Galaxy S24 to get help in shopping or clarify their doubts.

Samsung is calling this service Global Concierge. It is available at six Lotte Department Store outlets: Busan Main Branch, Dongbusan Branch, Jamsil Branch, Main Branch Lotte Outlet, Seoul Station Branch, and Uiwang Branch. These are the stores frequently visited by foreign nationals.

Shoppers who want to use this feature can approach these stores' Global Concierge, Information Desk, or Tax Refund Counter sections. The real-time language translation feature, part of the Galaxy AI suite, supports 16 languages, including Arabic, Chinese, English, German, Indonesian, Japanese, and Russian.
