Samsung has announced that sales of its flagship and Galaxy S8+ in South Korea recently surpassed the 1.3 million mark, with around 11,000 to 12,000 customers purchasing a unit every day, which is the highest figure ever recorded in the region.
On Monday, it was also revealed that the firm had set another record: its share price rose to 2.41 million won ($2,120). Obviously, that isn’t only the result of the Galaxy S8 taking the market by storm, but it’s definitely playing a big part in its success.
In an effort to maintain momentum, Samsung will reportedly release two more color variants of the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ — Blue Coral and Pink Gold — in the region in July, and aims to launch the shortly after to bolster sales.
Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ review:
To be honest, it’s not difficult to see why the Galaxy S8 and are selling so well. They’re arguably the most innovative smartphones on the market and sport impressive internals, including an Infinity Display and an Exynos 8895/Snapdragon 835 CPU.
