Although Samsung is in the process of bringing the July 2023 security patch to more phones, other devices are now catching up with last month’s release. The 10.5 (2021) is now getting the June 2023 update.
Samsung is rolling out the for the Galaxy Tab A8 10.5 carrying model number SM-X205. The update can be identified by firmware version X205XXS3CWF2. As of this writing, it is available in Argentina, Peru, Trinidad and Tobago, Panama, Guatemala, Colombia, Mexico, Bolivia, Uruguay, Brazil, and Chile.
Galaxy Tab A8 10.5 variants featuring other model numbers, such as SM-X205C, SM-X205N, and SM-X207, have yet to catch up with the SM-X205 version. They should, eventually, and the June 2023 update will reach the tablet in more markets.
The firmware version confirms that the update includes only last month’s security patch and no new One UI additions or improvements. As far as security goes, confirmed through its that the June release fixes 64 flaws, some of which don’t affect the Galaxy Tab A8 10.5.
You can download the latest update for the 2021 tablet from the section of our website if you prefer updating your device manually using a Windows PC.
