We last year that Samsung is working on a Gear Manager app for iOS which will enable users to hook up the Gear S2 smartwatch with an iPhone. Come January, Samsung officially confirmed at the Consumer Electronics Show 2016 that the later this year. It didn’t say when the update will arrive but it looks like the update might be arriving in the near future.
The is reportedly going to receive an update by the end of March which is going to bring iOS support to the smartwatch and that’s also when the Gear Manager for iOS will be released. No word as yet on the features that are going to be supported, evidently there will be some features that will require the smartwatch to be hooked up to a Samsung smartphone to function, features like for example. It was previously reported that this update would arrive in mid-January but that obviously didn’t happen so hopefully this time around the update will arrive for the Gear S2.
