Google acquired Firebase in 2014. During the keynote, the company stated that it will launch a new SDK sometime later today that will work across iOS, Android and web apps. The tools will group users based on criteria that matters to developers the most.

Some of those Firebase tools will include cloud messaging for sending targeted notifications to users without writing any code. There's also Firebase crash reporting to quickly identify bugs and issues and take action on them. The tools should allow developers to see crashes as they're happening. There's also Firebase remote config, for creating app experiments and testing apps at scale

Stay tuned for more news from the Google I/O 2016 keynote event.
