Up to here, nothing new. The clever twist in the formula comes in the form of marriage and family. In the game, every step your character takes represents a whole year in his life, and your goal is to survive long enough to find a mate and have a child before you die. If you manage to give the world the gift of your offspring, then once you die, you take control of your child in the world you left behind and continue playing in the hopes of furthering your line.
