Neighbors is a communal app from Ring that lets its users keep track of local crime and share potential threats to others in their area. The best part? You don't need to own a Ring product to use it. Setting up a new account is easy — here's how.

Helpful hardware

One of the best parts of Neighbors by Ring is that you can still use it even if you don't actually own any of Ring's products. That being said, having a video doorbell can be a great way to keep track of your home, especially when you're not there, and you'll be able to capture footage of anything fishy to share with your community.
