This seems to be the week of super rad Steam games hitting the App Store, as is Mushroom 11 [], a game of spreading a fungus around to complete levels in incredibly clever ways. of Mushroom 11 over the years has been a little amusing, as when we first saw it, it seemed like an obvious touch-based game, but in this day and age you've got to release premium games on Steam first and pretend it's not a mobile game. (I seriously don't envy indie devs trying to make sense of this market.) Anyway, I had an opportunity to spend a bunch of time with Mushroom 11 judging (which it won) this year and it's a very, very good port.
As you can see in the trailer, the game is played by nudging your fungus around, and it's really pretty incredible just how many complex puzzle mechanics and other situations the game throws at you that you handle entirely by pushing your blob around the screen. It's rocking , and are digging it. One thing I'd really be careful of is watching too many gameplay videos of this game, as like most puzzle games, things can be spoiled pretty quickly once you see someone figuring out all the solutions.
