situation for it. Hopefully that gets resolved but today, you get to complete your classic Final Fantasy iOS collection. Most of the games discounted here are pretty damn amazing. Square Enix even went the extra mile with some of the releases doing some excellent touch optimized controls while others haven’t received the attention they deserve.

Let’s start with the essentials then. Final Fantasy IV [

] are top notch games and the ports are great for most people. Final Fantasy IV is a personal favourite of mine and while I have some reservations about the 3D remake that is on iOS, you can’t really go wrong picking it up. Final Fantasy V on the other hand is a remake but remains 2D just like Final Fantasy VI. VI is one of the most popular games in the franchise but V deserves love as well for its job system and Gilgamesh. The three have MFI controller support and are universal. Final Fantasy III [

]) has controller support but you’ll need to buy it on iPhone and iPad separately if you want it on both as it was from the time Square Enix didn’t do Universal games. I’d reckon a lot of people have Final Fantasy I [

] just as a way to complete the collection or see where the franchise began and has its roots. Final Fantasy IV: The After Years [] is a weird entry for sure and you probably only want it if you really love Final Fantasy IV and absolutely must experience more of anything to do with it.

It isn’t Christmas or anything right now so this

is on just to make you happy basically. If you’ve been waiting to fill in the gaps, now is the time to stock up. My wish for this holiday season is they finally drop Final Fantasy VIII on the store so I can peacefully sleep at night knowing X is next.
