It has consistently been rumored that the , making it the first consumer handset from Samsung to bring this technology to the market. We have seen leaked photos which reiterate rumors with the Galaxy Note 7 and today we’re finally getting to see the iris scanner in action. A video has been leaked out of China which shows off the iris scanner in all its glory.
You might notice that the Galaxy Note 7 in the video has a flat display instead of that it’s due to come with. It’s believed that Samsung created full-fledged prototypes of the flat variant in order to test the hardware while concealing the real appearance of the but given that so many renders and pictures have been leaked online the efforts have all gone in vain. We can see in the video that the iris scanner works like a charm, it’s blazing fast as we expected and makes it very easy for the user to gain access to the device. All that’s left now is for Samsung to formally and tell us when it will be out and how much it’s going to cost.
