Chinese handset maker LeEco will make its foray into the U.S. market this Fall. The vendor made its debut in India , with the budget Le 1s becoming one of the best-selling handsets in the country with over 400,000 sales. According to LeEco's PR director Todd Witkemper, the vendor will introduce phones and in the U.S.

Its U.S. products will be distinct, targeted specifically at U.S. millennials. The company is currently negotiating with rights holders for U.S. video content — both recorded and live — to offer via its service, which will be featured in the interface of its phones. The phones will also support other, more established streaming services. The phones will be sold on the unlocked market.
The company already has well over 400 U.S.-based employees, and aims to have 1,000 by the end of the year, spread across four west-coast locations.
LeEco's latest handset, the , launched in India earlier this month, offering a 5.7-inch Quad HD display, 2.15GHz Snapdragon 820, 4GB of RAM, 32GB storage, 21MP camera, 8MP front shooter, USB-C with fast charge, and a 3100mAh battery for the equivalent of $340 (₹22,999). There's a variant of the Le Max 2 with 6GB of RAM and 64GB storage. Like the , the Le Max 2 does not feature a 3.5mm jack, instead relying on the USB-C port for audio.
