Owning games on a physical format – be it a disc or a cartridge – is falling out of fashion (at least console makers would like you to believe that). Owning games at all may also be going the way of the floppy disk as subscriptions are becoming more common. The latest is Meta Quest+, a service aimed at owners of the Meta Quest 2, the upcoming Quest 3 and the pricey Quest Pro (sorry, original Quest owners).
