The interesting dungeon-building kinda-roguelike RPG Guild of Dungeoneering [] has just gotten its first adventure pack as a free update. Pirates' Cove gives you new pirate and piracy-themed missions to play through, with new stuff to check out. There's 23 new monsters, 27 new items to equip, and most importantly: 3 new classes to play with! Versus Evil and Gambrinous estimate this content adds about 30% to the game, so it's a nice, meaty little free add-on.
Now, just how 'free' it is depends on when you buy the game. The plan is for Guild of Dungeoneering to increase in price as each new content update comes out, similar to Wayward Souls []. But right at publication time (in the US, a few hours ahead of the planned August 30th release date, as iOS releases tend to go), Guild of Dungeoneering is still $3.99, so if you're interested in the game and want to save a bit, get it now. Otherwise, you're still saving over the PC version price, so it's not too bad.
