The Redmi 9 sports a 6.53-inch FHD+ display with a waterdrop notch at the top, housing an 8MP selfie camera. It is powered by MediaTek's gaming-focused , paired with up to 4GB of RAM and 64GB storage.
Unlike the Redmi 8, which has a dual-camera setup at the rear, the Redmi 9 has a quad-camera array. The phone features a 13MP main sensor, an 8MP wide-angle lens, a 5MP macro shooter, and a 2MP depth sensor. Keeping the lights on is an impressive 5,020mAh battery with 18W fast charging. However, the phone will ship with only a 10W charger in the box. The Redmi 9 also includes a USB Type-C port, NFC, an IR blaster, and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.
The Redmi 9 has been priced at €149 ($169) in Spain for the 3GB/32GB version and €179 ($203) for the 4GB/64GB version. It will be going on sale in the country starting June 18 in Sunset Purple, Ocean Green, and Carbon Gray colors. While there is no word yet on availability outside Spain, we expect the Redmi 9 to make its way to China, India, and a few other markets across Europe in the coming weeks.
