Small Giant Games, developer of Oddwings Escape [], has announced Rope Racers, an "instant multiplayer game" that takes cues from grappling hook games and SpeedRunners in particular. You race through multiple-lap levels, trying to finish first against 9 other racers, swinging to help maintain and increase your momentum, while picking up turbo boosts and cash spread throughout the levels.
If you have an Android device, , and there's actually a pretty healthy userbase so far even before the iOS version is out. There's several different modes, with different entries with different gold costs but greater rewards down the road. You can buy and upgrade characters, getting better stats for superior performance down the road. It's a pretty fun little pick-up-and-play game, though I would prefer it if the rope launching went a bit quicker than it currently does; but the game is already out on Android, so it is what it is for now.
