, Samsung today unveiled the world’s first QLED curved monitor with a Thunderbolt 3 port. It’s going to showcase the CJ791 QLED monitor at the Consumer Electronics Show 2018 in Las Vegas next week.

The world’s first QLED curved monitor with Thunderbolt 3

The 34-inch ultra-wide monitor sports a QHD resolution of 3440×1440 pixels with a 21:9 aspect ratio. The monitor has 125 percent sRGB spectrum, a 178-degree viewing angle, a 4 ms response time, and narrow bezels to ensure top of the line viewing and gaming experience. The CJ791 touts the industry’s sharpest 1,500R curvature. It also features a height-adjustable stand and tilt functionality to give users more control over the monitor

Thunderbolt 3 is a versatile interface which reduces the number of wires required without sacrificing speed or functionality. It enables users to dock and charge their laptops with a single Thunderbolt 3 cable.

A Thunderbolt 3 connection can provide processing speeds of up to 40 Gbps which allows users to connect a wide variety of high-speed peripherals and devices with a single cable such as USB Type-C laptops, Macs, storage drivers or external graphics cards. Intel’s Thunderbolt 3 interface on the CJ791 also enables the monitor to provide up to 85 watts of charging power for connected laptops.

Samsung has not announced any details about pricing and availability as yet. The monitor will be showcased at the Samsung’s CES booth #15006 in the Las Vegas Convention Centre from January 9-12.
