We have known for a few weeks about . The Galaxy C5 and Galaxy C7 should be leading the charge, and at least the former is currently under development with a 5.2-inch display. Today, more specs of the C5 have been revealed thanks to the Geekbench benchmark website. Also, from its sources that the C series devices will feature thin metallic bodies, not unlike the Galaxy A8.
With the Galaxy A series that debuted on the Galaxy S6, it wouldn’t be surprising to see the Galaxy C lineup taking up the mission the Galaxy A series was initially tasked with. The specs should be similar to the Galaxy A (2016) lineup – the (SM-C5000) is listed with 4GB of RAM and the octa-core Snapdragon 617 SoC (clocked at 1.5GHz). The operating system is Android 6.0.1, which is what we expect on every new device that Samsung launches in the future.
A premium design seems to be a heavy focus for the Korean giant this year, as in their construction. The Galaxy C series is expected to launch in May as an exclusive for the Chinese market.
