July patch fixes crash that could result from setting the wrong wallpaper


As usual, the security patch for Galaxy devices includes fixes for both vulnerabilities in the core Android OS and in Samsung’s software. The July patch fixes four critical Android OS vulnerabilities and a bunch of high- and moderate-risk vulnerabilities, along with 14 vulnerabilities that affect only Galaxy devices. It includes a solution for the issue

. It also fixes an exploit that enabled unauthorized apps to write data on to the SD card, a vulnerability that could allow access to data through a memory leak, among others.
