Samsung is pushing its upcoming Galaxy devices through mandatory regulatory approval processes. And as you might recall, the base Galaxy Tab S9 and the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra (National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission) in Thailand last week. The Plus variant was missing, but fret not. Samsung still plans to release it.
The recently followed in the footsteps of its smaller and bigger siblings. It, too, gained NBTC’s approval, virtually confirming that Samsung intends to continue the Tab S legacy and release three high-end tablet models soon.
How soon? The NBTC doesn’t say, but the industry expects Samsung to introduce the Galaxy Tab S9 series at the next Unpacked event, which should happen on July 27. The NBTC does mention that the Galaxy Tab S9+ carries model number SM-X816B, so it is a 5G tablet (via ). Nevertheless, Wi-Fi-only versions should also exist.
There’s not much Samsung can do to evolve the exterior design of its high-end tablets at this point. The Galaxy S tablet design has more or less peaked, and the Tab S9+ may present only .
Under the hood, however, the Galaxy Tab S9+ should rock the newer Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. And the device is expected to run One UI 5.1.1 out of the box.
