Samsung has been expanding the reach of its mobile payments service in more markets across the globe. As it gears up to launch the service and , the company has also launched a pilot program for Samsung Pay in Taiwan. The service will properly be launched in Taiwan later this month.
The company is going to team up with several financial institutions at launch, including the Union Bank of Taiwan, E.Sun Bank, Taishin International Bank, Citibank, Standard Chartered, Cathay United Bank and Taipei Fubon Bank.
More banks will join the list in the coming days once Samsung Pay’s official launch date for Taiwan is confirmed. The launch is expected to take place on May 23.
