Samsung Pay was treated to a familiar update in India on Thursday, following in Sweden last month. The upgrade bundles support for Android 8.0 Oreo, even though it’s yet to make its way to any of Samsung’s smartphones, as well as a number of undisclosed bug fixes and stability improvements.
We aren’t sure why the firm’s released the upgrade in the region, but less than an hour ago a rumor materialized claiming that it’s planning to kick off an in the United States on October 31, leading us to believe that it may also run a similar scheme in India at the same time.
That’s far from confirmed, though. Seeing as the firm didn’t run its in India, it seems unlikely that it will this time, however, but Samsung has been known to break tradition when it’s put under pressure from customers—so we aren’t going to rule out the possibility.
