Samsung has announced the company plans to release a new version of the . Aptly named the Gear S2 Classic 3G, this variant of the wearable comes with an eSIM, a programmable standardized SIM card that lets you switch between carriers without having to change SIM cards. This would allow for a much more convenient user experience when travelling or switching between providers.
Interestingly, this version of the smartwatch will be a niche option for many. Attempting to replace your smartphone with a wearable attached to your wrist may lead to you being able to get things done quickly, but the smaller display, lack of processing power and battery issues make it a difficult choice at the front door.
