, with a dual-camera setup (13MP+5MP) sitting in pride of place on the rear.

Two variants of the Galaxy C8 are scheduled to hit the shelves in the region: one with 32GB of storage, and the other with 64GB. Both sport a 5.5-inch Full HD display, a MediaTek Helio P20 processor and a 3,000mAh battery.

is home to a slew of connectivity options, including 4G LTE, Bluetooth, GPS, USB Type-C and, of course, a dual-SIM slot.

It also ships running Android 7.1.1 Nougat skinned with the latest build of Samsung’s Experience—formerly known as TouchWiz—user interface, and is equipped with a number of exciting software features, like Always On Display and Bixby.

The best way to look as the Galaxy C8 is as a rebranded variant of the Galaxy J7+, because that’s exactly what it is. There’s still no word on pricing, but we expect it to start at around ¥2,000 ($305).
