will unveil new 3D ToF sensors at the VLSI Symposium 2023 event this week. One of the sensors is said to feature an on-chip ISP (Image Signal Processor) and has a 2-stack process technology. The sensor reportedly has a 65nm BSI (Back Side Illumination) layer and a 28nm CMOS area. The 3D ToF sensor is rumored to be able to measure distances of up to 5 meters at a frame rate of 60fps.

It is reportedly a low-power chip, and its power consumption is as low as 188mW. If this information is correct, it could certainly be used in modern AR/VR headsets. Such devices could use multiple such sensors to measure nearby areas, objects, and hand gestures to operate AR/VR headsets.
