The Samsung Odyssey is different from its competitors as it has dual-OLED displays with much better 1400 x 1600 resolution per eye. It also offers 110-degree field-of-view and built-in AKG headphones.

It also features inside-out position tracking with Six Degrees of Freedom, so users aren’t restricted to a limited space when using the headset. The Samsung Windows Mixed Reality headset even has 360-degree Spatial Sound support to provide a surround sound experience.

A spokesperson for the company confirmed to The Verge that the Samsung Odyssey headset is going to be sold in the United States. It was also confirmed that the headset won’t be available in Europe. Samsung hasn’t given a reason for this.

Samsung is planning to release the headset in the US on November 6. It’s going to cost $499 and will come with bundled motion controllers.
