Apple makes a carbon copy of its own smartphone​


The iPhone 14 doesn’t boast the new animated notification “Island,” and unlike in previous years, when at least some internal components got upgraded by the subsequent model, the new iPhone is much more similar to the 2021 variant. It features the same Apple A15 Bionic chipset (albeit with some tweaks and an extra GPU core), the same camera configuration, display, and exterior design.

In essence, the iPhone 14 is a phone for customers who didn’t already have the iPhone 13 and may be looking to upgrade from an earlier model. Otherwise, it’s a massively disappointing yearly upgrade and doesn’t offer customers much in ways of innovation or excitement.

have completely revolutionized the emerging foldable smartphone segment. However, they have brought a few significant hardware upgrades, better battery life, and design refinements, among other minor quality-of-life changes and improvements. Meanwhile, the iPhone 14 is essentially a carbon copy of the iPhone 13, and the worst part is that it’s probably the first of many.
