Good news for folk with a T-Mobile variant of the and Galaxy S8+ in the United States: the handsets are now receiving a much-requested maintenance update to patch a bug that resulted in some users noticing a “” on their handset’s display.
The upgrade appears to be identical to the one that started making the rounds in and last week, bundling a couple of new settings for the Adaptive Display screen mode, which lets users adjust the color balance of the panel and the appearance of white tones on the edges.
If you own a Galaxy S8 or , you should be able to install the over-the-air update right away by heading into Settings, followed by Software Update, then tap the Download Updates Manually button. Alternatively, you can wait until you receive an alert prompting you to install the upgrade.
