Ford will finally join the list of car companies that will support in May. That's when sales will begin on the 2017 Ford Escape, which will be the first Ford car with its Sync 3 technology that supports both Google's car tech and Apple's rival system.

The LTE-based service will allow owners of the car to do things like start their car with their smartphone, along with remote lock and unlock, vehicle location and health check.
Ford has already stated that all of its 2017 cars in North America will support Sync 3, and thus Android Auto and CarPlay. Owners of Ford's 2016 cars will be able to get Sync 3 upgrades later in 2016.
