If 2018 was the year of the notch, 2019 looks like it'll be the year of hole-punch cameras. Following the announcement of the Honor View 20, Samsung's also unveiled its new Galaxy A8s.

that was announced at the Samsung Developer Conference In November. While technically still a display with a notch, Infinity-O ditches the expected black bar in the top-middle of the screen for a small hole-punch-like cutout for the camera near the far left corner. The display surrounding the camera cutout is a 6.4-inch panel with a resolution fo 2340 x 1080. Qualcomm's Snapdragon 710 is powering the phone, along with 6 or 8GB of RAM, 128GB of expandable storage, a 3,400 mAh battery, and Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box.

On the camera side of things, you'll find a 24MP primary sensor, 10MP telephoto lens, and 5MP depth sensor on the back. Around front is a single 24MP selfie camera.

You can pre-order the Galaxy A8s in China right now, but at the time of publishing this article, there's no word on its availability in other parts of the world. If/when that changes, we'll let you know.
