, the head of the mobile eXperience business, TM Roh, underlined the company’s three-pronged approach to continue leading the mobile market.

In essence, there are three areas on which TM Roh believes Samsung should be focusing its efforts to maintain its position as a market leader. They are:

  • Developing premium quality products that deliver an outstanding user experience.
  • Enabling new experiences and possibilities, not only through innovative Galaxy products and top-notch hardware, but also through software and AI “that only Samsung can provide.”
  • Creating flagship phones for a wider price range and making more affordable high-end phones, thus opening up Samsung’s premium hardware and software experiences to more customers.

Indeed, the base Galaxy S23 is one of the most affordable phones on the market and has a lower price than previous models. And Samsung is the only OEM that still seems to want to make foldable phones more affordable and lower the barrier of entry with its Galaxy Z Flip series.

TM Roh believes in a better device ecosystem and brings up XR again

Samsung MX’s leader says more customers globally are looking not only for great smartphone experiences but for devices that can communicate better with others. People are placing more value on reliability than ever, but also on device ecosystems. And needless to say, Galaxy phones are the most reliable on the market, and the versatility of the Galaxy device ecosystem is unmatched.

The company’s smart TVs, home appliances (from fridges to air conditioners and vacuum cleaners), smartwatches, phones, and tablets all communicate through the SmartThings platform. And according to TM Roh, the company “will continue to build a more powerful and seamless multi-device experience.”

Speaking of other devices, TM Roh also reminded us that Samsung is developing an
