update for the Galaxy Note 5 will bring the software version to VRU2BPB2 (build number MMB29K). The update includes the 200+ new emoji Google brought to its Nexus devices when the update was first released several weeks ago. In addition to the new emoji, and Google’s own Google Now On Tap, Doze Mode, detailed battery stats, customizable permissions, and so on.

Verizon brings its own changes to the Galaxy Note 5 for its customers. One of these that we know you’ll enjoy to the fullest extent is Wi-Fi Calling, a feature that will no longer mandate worrying about your 3G/4G calling signal in some out-of-coverage areas. Additionally, YouTube Live Broadcast will now allow you to bring people in on what you’re doing, even if they’re not on your contacts list.

Amazon’s Appstore will be removed with the update, but you’ll also gain Samsung’s new and improved “squircle” icons and folder designs that’ll match what
