Apex Legends from EA and Respawn Entertainment has been confirmed for mobile for a while now and a even revealed that it was being developed at Tencent with Respawn supervising. While it was last year, EA has finally revealed that Apex Legends on mobile will officially be called Apex Legends Mobile. Apex Legends Mobile is heading into a regional beta later this month. Respawn’s for Apex Legends Mobile also reveals that the company has built a dedicated team to lead Apex Legends Mobile which is a collaborative effort with “other partners". Apex Legends Mobile will be free to play and it has been designed specifically for mobile touchscreens with streamlined controls. Since this is a separate version of the game, Apex Legends Mobile will not have cross play with PC and consoles.
The Apex Legends Mobile regional beta will begin on Android in India and the Philippines supporting a few thousand players initially. This is set to roll out in more regions around the world through the year. iOS support is also coming alongside pre-registration for the game with more beta news. Respawn also confirmed that Apex Legends Mobile will have its own Battle Passes, cosmetics, unlockables, and more that are unique from the PC and console versions. It is going to be interesting to see how Apex Legends Mobile looks and runs compared to the Nintendo Switch version and also compared to the newer consoles. Hopefully the global expansion for the Apex Legends Mobile beta happens sooner than later and Respawn confirms details like controller support in the near future. Have you played Apex Legends on PC and consoles or are you waiting for Apex Legends Mobile to release in your region?
