Introducing, the New DualSense Wireless Game Controller for PlayStation 5

For the buttons, you’ll notice there is no longer a “Share” button as we had with DualShock 4. Don’t worry – it’s not going away. In fact, we’ve built upon the success of our industry-first Share button to bring you a new “Create” button feature. With Create, we’re once again pioneering new ways for players to create epic gameplay content to share with the world, or just to enjoy for themselves. We’ll have more details on this feature as we get closer to launch.

DualSense also adds a built-in microphone array, which will enable players to easily chat with friends without a headset – ideal for jumping into a quick conversation. But of course, if you are planning to chat for a longer period, it’s good to have that headset handy.

Now, let’s talk about the colors. Traditionally our base controllers have a single color. As you can see, we went a different direction this time around, and decided...

Sony has been drip-feeding us information about the PlayStation 5 and, while we don't know much about which games we'll be playing or how the console will look, we have a pretty good idea about what the PS5 is packing under its hood and what features it will boast.

The PS5 is shaping up to be an extremely powerful next-gen console and, the more we learn about it, the more excited we get for its release in late 2020.

Here are just five new features you’ll like the sound of!

1. PS4 loading times will be super fast

The PS5's ultra-fast SSD will drastically reduce loading times. Mark Cerny, the lead system architect for the PS5, previously showcased how the SSD will shorten loading times, using Marvel's Spider-Man as an example.

On the PS4 Pro, the game took 8.10 seconds to load, whereas on the PS5, the loading time was reduced to a mere 0.8...
Delay for the PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X launch seems inevitable this year!

There are more important things to worry about when it comes to COVID-19, also known as the coronavirus. Death, obviously. And with well over 3300 deaths globally so far, the delay of video game consoles seems a minor inconvenience in comparison.

But here we are, in what should be a pivotal year in the games industry. This is an industry that loves spectacle, scale and one upmanship. It would have you believe every day is a giant party with a cardboard cheque. It’s a regular sight to see lavish events and the reveal of expensive toys. Fans lap up the chance to be one of the first to buy a $500 piece of hardware like it’s a privilege. We travel around the world to worship corporate suits as they lift cloth off a black box, their garbled talk of teraflops echoing around an arena as 10,000 wailing fans flagellate themselves in front of a new god.

But COVID-19 has poured a bucket of cold water over all of that. With the release of two new games consoles, 2020 should have been Party...

I hope everyone is doing well!

Just thought I’d let you all know that there has been a Forum upgrade here, so their will be some things like Credits and other little things missing for the near future. I am just in the process of upgrading them all so they are compatible. - We have also lost our theme and style for the site, as they have corrupted and are incompatible with the new version. I and @MysticCFW are working towards the new one and will be released shortly.

I do also apologize for the downtime that has been caused by Console Bang recently, the datacentre has been messing around with our servers and we had to start all of them again, restoring from the latest backups, so no data has been lost, although we had a week downtime. I will be putting more work into Console Bang so it becomes one of the best gaming forums out there!

With regards to the theme, I’m trying two different ones out, the one that is an upgraded version before is just not rendering right with the new software so I have issued the current one as a temporary measure.

I am looking to make this forum grow and become bigger and better! So I hope you can all help me with the journey to that!

I hope you all enjoy the rest of your week!
