For those of you that might not know just what Action Henk is, it’s a cool physics-based, speedrunning platformer where you play as an old-school toy from the ’90s who’s in a bit of a rough spot. He wants to get back in shape, and does so by racing his friends through all kinds of environments and stages.
New frontiers
We collaborated with Curve Digital to bring Action Henk to PS4. We tried to get the most out of the game’s looks, while still making sure it runs smoothly. By using the Unity engine we could bridge the gap between PC and PS4 a lot easier and more efficiently. We’re really happy with the way it turned out, and we were even able to implement an all new local multiplayer mode for the console release!
What’s next for Ragesquid? Well, Action Henk was really our first big title so before starting production on something new straight away, we’re letting the dust settle a bit on the Action Henk launch. We have some really cool ideas that we want to build on right now but there’s nothing really set in stone yet!
Something for everyone
We really hope you guys love playing against your friends in the couch co-op modes. It can get really heated, especially so when you unlock the harder versions of the levels! You’re gonna have to work for that win, but when you do the satisfaction of beating your friend is too good to put into words. It’s also really good for kids or less competitively minded players on the easier stages. We really think that there’s something for everyone in Action Henk!
