The new iPad Pro tablets are the thinnest Apple devices to date, says the Cupertino tech giant (via ). The new 11-inch iPad Pro has a 5.3mm profile, whereas the 13-inch iPad Pro is even thinner and measures 5.1mm.
In contrast, Samsung's Galaxy Tab S9 measures 5.9mm, while the Galaxy Tab S9+ has a 5.7mm profile. The is the thinner of the three Samsung models, clocking in at 5.5mm. It's impressive given its size, but still isn't as slim as the latest iPad Pros.
In addition to employing new OLED displays that can reach 1600 nits of brightness for HDR content, and aside from boasting the thinnest profiles among all Apple tablets and Galaxy Tab S9 models, the latest iPad Pros are also said to boast incredible performance thanks to brand-new M4 chips.

The latest iPad Pros skip the Apple M3 chip altogether and introduce a new new M4 chip. As most of you know, the M-series of chips is developed by Apple exclusively for their products, and they're well-known for their power and efficiency.
Apple claims this new M4 chip is 50% faster than the M2 chip found in the previous-generation iPad Pro, all the while maintaining industry-leading efficiency. Apple says the new chip's GPU is a whopping 400% faster than the M2's GPU. And despite these improvements, thermal performance is 20% higher.
