Here's a quick heads up to let you know that one of the all-time classics on the App Store, Terry Cavanagh's brilliant twitch arcade game Super Hexagon [], is currently free for the first time. If you somehow don't know what Super Hexagon is all about, you play as a tiny triangle who must rotate either left or right around the center point of the screen as the walls literally close in on it from every side. Find the gaps to pass through and try to last as long as possible without crashing into a wall. It's extremely difficult in the beginning, but the more you play the better your skill gets and eventually you get locked in a zone dashing back and forth between increasingly faster and more difficult patters of walls.
Yeesh, just talking about Super Hexagon makes me want to drop everything and just sit here playing it for the rest of the day. It's really as close to perfect as a game gets for me. Super Hexagon has seen plenty of sales over the years, but this is the first time it's been completely free through the App Store itself (It may have been a Starbucks freebie or something at some point?).
