The Galaxy Note 20+/Ultra bearing model number SM-N986U has appeared on HTML5test where it drops some hints about its screen resolution and aspect ratio. As per the listing, it’s going to have a 3096×1444 pixel resolution and 19.3:9 aspect ratio. Earlier reports have also pointed to the same figures.
The screen resolution stands out because we haven’t seen it yet on any other Samsung device. For the sake of comparison, the and have a screen resolution of 3200×1440 and 3040×1440 respectively. Samsung went for a taller 20:9 aspect ratio for the Galaxy S20 while the Galaxy Note 10 is 19:9.
The Galaxy Note handsets tend to be wider anyway so the expected aspect ratio doesn’t really come as a surprise, although some things just don’t add up at this stage. The HTML5test shows a test resolution instead of the actual resolution, but it does reveal the aspect ratio.
