The new security update for the Galaxy S21 series is now available in some Asian countries, including Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Russia, Thailand, the Philippines, Ukraine, and Vietnam. The update is also available in Europe's Caucasus region. Both these regions are getting the update bearing firmware version G99xBXXSBGXEC.
In the US, the carrier-locked versions of the Galaxy S21, , and are getting the update with firmware version G99xUSQSBGXF1. The factory-unlocked units of the same phones are getting the new security update with firmware version G99xU1UESBGXF1.
The June 2024 security patch found in Android and Samsung's One UI software on these devices. Don't expect to see any new features or performance improvements with the new update.
