out on Apple's smartphones. It allows high-quality and seamless messaging between Android phones and iPhones.

Sameer Samat, President of Android Ecosystem at Google, revealed that Samsung has been instrumental in the success and wider adoption of RCS. He said, “We have worked hard for years to make RCS the standard for improved cross-platform messaging, and Samsung has been instrumental in the growing adoption of RCS.

RCS allows for the sharing of high-resolution images and videos.

RCS also offers reactions to messages and group chats with all the messaging features that are synonymous with modern-day messaging.

Apple is slowly adding RCS to compatible iPhones (running iOS 18.1) on a carrier-by-carrier basis. So, not every iPhone user has RCS access right now, but it will keep improving in the coming months.
