It had the model number SM-A166P, meaning that it is made specifically for the US-based Sprint network carrier. The listing confirmed that Samsung would launch the phone in the country. Well, we have now spotted the international variant of the Galaxy A16 5G on the benchmarking platform.
As you can see in the screenshots below, the Galaxy A16 5G that we have spotted today has the model number SM-A166E, which is the international variant of the smartphone. It confirms that Samsung will launch the phone in markets outside the US, especially in Asian countries. However, that isn’t surprising at all because the company has launched most of the Galaxy A-series smartphones globally so far.
The international variant of the Galaxy A16 5G has the same processor as the Sprint-exclusive model, the MediaTek Dimensity 6300+, and this too runs on (most likely with ). While the listing for the Sprint-exclusive model mentioned 6GB RAM, that for the international version mentions 4GB RAM. So, it confirms that Samsung will launch the phone in at least two memory configurations.

Previous leaks revealed that the Galaxy A16 5G will have three cameras at the rear: a 50MP primary camera, a 5MP camera with an ultrawide lens, and a 2MP macro camera. On the front, there will be a 13MP camera. The phone will feature a 5,000mAh battery. Other features might include 25W charging wattage/speed, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, a USB Type-C port, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
