Of course, that’s not always a bad thing, as losing your favorite weapon could just make you experiment with one of the hundreds of other unique items in Gensokyo, or force you to spend a little time crafting a new favorite in the item fusion system.
The item fusion system lets you make use of the myriad items that you’ll pick up in your quests into the dungeons of Gensokyo, instead of just trashing them all. You’ll also be taking a pal into the dungeon for each adventure. With six partner characters to choose from, I’m sure you’ll be able to find a favorite no matter what your playstyle is!
