The images of the upcoming Galaxy A06 were by legendary leakster Evan Blass (@evleaks). The phone appears in three colors—black, white/silver, and yellow/gold—in those leaked images. It is evident from these images that Samsung has brought the , which debuted with the Galaxy A55, to the Galaxy A06. The phone also appears to have a side-mounted fingerprint reader.
The Galaxy A06 has a 6.7-inch screen with a U-shaped cutout at the top for the selfie camera. It has a fairly big chin below the screen, and we think it is time for Samsung to move to a punch-hole-shaped cutout for the selfie camera and uniform bezels around the screen.
Based on previous leaks, it appears that the Galaxy A06 will be equipped with the . This is the same chipset that is used in the Galaxy A05, which means Samsung isn't upgrading the processor, which is among the first things brands improve upon when launching a new phone.
The phone reportedly measures 167.3 x 77.9 x 8mm, making it slightly more compact than its predecessor. We expect this phone to feature a 50MP primary rear camera, a 2MP depth sensor, and an 8MP front-facing camera. It is likely powered by a , similar to the Galaxy A05. The device runs Android 14 out of the box.
So, besides the ‘Key Island' design element and the side-mounted fingerprint reader, Samsung has not changed anything else compared to the Galaxy A05.
