Now, I'd love to know more details behind this claim. For instance, is that based on just US availability? Because as we know, Pokemon GO still hasn't been released in all countries yet. Or is it just based on the downloads from countries where it was available during the first week? If so, it's crazy to think what the download numbers would have been had the game been available in all territories all at the same time. Perhaps Apple will divulge more details around the Pokemon GO phenomenon, but at the very least it's interesting to see how many people jumped on the download bandwagon once the game's popularity started to spread like wildfire in its first week out.
