Pol Clarissou (who made Orchids to Dusk and contributed A Glass Room to the Triennale Game Collection []) and Armel Gibson (who helped make Knife to Meet You with Robin Baumgarten, along with the gorgeous ) have been hard at work on Vignettes, and their "toyish surprise-o-rama" is set to roll up on the App Store on April 20th. This game is a real trip, and it's a real blast when you see that lamp turn into something else. Whoa, dude.
I checked out the game at GDC, and it left me feeling totally zonked at it. This game is remarkably clever, and I could see Apple being really monstertrucked by this one, and rolling up a fat App Store feature for the game. It's not just a wicked puzzle game, but it's also got an adventure aspect as you discover new shapes and how they're all connected.
